This Deed made this third day of January in the year eighteen hundred and Sixty Seven by Elisha P. Bennett and Mary J. Bennett his wife of Somerset County in the State of Maryland.

Witnesseth; that in consideration of the sum of sixteen hundred Dollars, the said Elisha P. Bennett and Mary J. Bennett his wife do grant unto James Bennett of Somerset County and State of Maryland, in fee, All the right title and interest of the Grist Mill, Saw Mill, Mill Lot and Stock Yard know as the Barren Creek Mills that Elisha Bennett late of said County willed to the said Elisha P. Bennett, it being one fifth part of said Mills, Mill Lot and Stock Yard or whatever part the said Elisha P. Bennett inherited by his Father's Will And the said Elisha P. Bennett and Mary his wife convenant that they will warrant specially the property hereby conveyed; and that they will execute such further assurances as may be requisite.
