Will of Neal MacClester

In the name of God Amon - The Eleventh Day of November In the year of our Lord God Everlasting Seventeen hundred and fifty one. I Neal MacClester of Stepney Parish in Somerset County in the Province of Maryland calling to remembrance the uncertain Estate of this Transitory Life, and that all flesh must yield to Death when it Pleases God to call, do make constitute ordain and declare; this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following; revoking and annulling by these presents, all and every Testament and Testaments Will and Wills heretofore by me made and declared either by word or Writing; and this is to be taken only for my last Will and Testament and none other. And first being penitent and sorry from the bottom of my heart for my sins past most humbly desire forgiveness for the same. I give and commit my soul unto Almighty God my Saviour and Redeemer, and my body to be buried in such place where it shall please my Executor hereafter named to appoint. and now for setling of my Temporal Estate and such goods, Chattles and Debts as it hath pleased God far above my deserts, to bestow upon me. I do order give and dispose the sme in manner and form following.
(that is to say) First I will that all those debts and dues as I am in right or Con? to any manner of person or persons, Whatsoever, shall be well and truly contented and paid or ordained to be paid within convenient time after my decease; by my Executor hereafter named
Item I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Samuel MacClester, son of my older brother John MacClester one Tract of land called Oak Grove, being sittuated and being on the South Sid of Nanticoak River near to the Plantation where Richard Phillips did live and in Worcester County in the Province of Maryland to him my said Nephew Samuel MacClester and his heirs for Ever
Item I give and bequeath unto my aforesaid Nephew Samuel MacClester another Tract of Land called White Chapple being sittuated and being in Somerset County in the Province of Maryland at or near the main branch of Barron Creek and bounded on the South by a Tract of land which was possessed by Gabriel Cooper, To him my said Nephew Samuel MacClester and his heirs forever
Item I give and bequeath unto my aforesaid Nephew Samuel MacClester one lot of land called Number Ten being in Greehill Town in Somerset County in the province of Maryland, to him my said Nephew Samuel MacClester and his heirs for Ever
Item I give and bequeath unto my aforesaid Nephew Samuel MacClester all and every part and parcel of my Personal Estate Goods and Chattles to him my said Nephew Samuel MacClester and his heirs forever
Item I Constitute ordaine and declare my aforesaid Nephew Samuel MacClester to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament, In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament sett my hand and fixed my seal the Day and Year above written Pronounced and declared to be his last Will and Testament in Presence of us - Stephen Hopkins Senior , Charles Brown, Stephen Hopkins Junior, Isabella Hopkins

November the (5th?) 1757 Came Stephen Hopkins senr.-Charles Brown-Stephen Hopkins Junr. and Isabella Hopkins subscribing Witnesses to the within Will and made oath on the holy Evangells of Almighty God that they saw the Testator Neal McClester sign and seal and heard him publish pronounce and declair the above Instrument of Writeing as his last Will and Testament and that at the time of his so doeing he was to the best of their approhensions of sound and disposeing mind memory and understanding and that they the said Stephen Hopkins Senr, Charles Brown, Stephen Hopkins Junr and Isabella Hopkins subscribed as Witnesses and further depose they saw the other witness Chalres Brown subscribe as a Witness at same time, which was done in the presents and at the request of the Testator Neal McClester
