Will of David Merine/Morine
Sussex Co., Delaware
August 01, 1812
In the name of God Amen I David Morine of Sussex County & State of Delaware being sick & weak of body but of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this as my last Will & Testament in manner & form as follow to wit.
First. I give and bequeath unto my two dear little children John Williams Morine & Mary-Ann Morine all my Lands to be equally divided between them share & share alike to them their heirs & assigns forever. Reserving to my beloved wife Kitturah Morine her lawful dower in said lands during her natural life.
Secondly. My will & desire is that my personal estate together with all debts due me & money that may be by me at the time of my death may & shall be equally divided between my beloved wife Kitturah Morine & my two dear little children John Williams Morine and Mary-Ann Morine share & share alike to them their heirs & assigns forever, after my just debts are paid.
Thirdly. I give & bequeath to my brother John Morine my wearing apparel.
Lastly. I do hereby nominate & appoint my beloved wife Kitturah Morine Executrix & my dear brother John Morine Executor of this my last will & Testament, hereby revoking all other Wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this to be my last Will & Testament. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my name & seal this first day of August in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and twelve.
