Will of James Knotts

To wife Ann, dwelling plantation. To son Solomon Knotts and daughter Sophia Knotts, my plantation and lands called "Emory's Rich Land", and part of "Relief", 150 A.: to son Solomon, track where my dwelling house and orchards are and land contiguous thereto; to daughter Sophia, that part whereon my son James Knotts, lately lived, with 60A. taken from the easternmost part of said lands. If either Solomon or Sophia should die without heirs, then I will that the survivor of them shall inherit same, but if both of said children die without heirs, son Nathaniel Knotts, shall have said plantation and lands.

To son James Knotts, 200A. "Knotts' Chance&", being that part whereon my said son now lives, called "Short Marsh".

To son John Knotts, the residue of said tract last mentioned being 102A., to be divided between 2 said sons, and if John Knotts dies without issue, then to son Robert Knotts.

To 4 young children: Nathaniel, John, Solomon and Sophia Knotts, whole personal estate.

To sons James and John Knotts, clothing.

To son Robert Knotts, and daughter Mary Lamden, 1 s. money.

To daughter Elizabeth Rogers, stock.

Wife Ann Knotts, and son James Knotts, exs.

Wit: James Lane, Margaret Gordon.
