Will of Elizabeth Annsley

April 18,1824
In the name of God Amen, I Elizabeth Annsley of Somerset County in the State of Maryland, being affected in body but of sound mind and memory do make and acknowledge this to be my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following,
First, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Cassey Annsley the sum of fifty dollars to be paid to her when she shall arrive to the age of sixteen years, but if she should die before she arrives to the age of sixteen years the said sum of fifty dollars shall be equally divided between the rest of my children them living.
In witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal in the presence of the subscribing witnesses this eighteen day of April in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Twenty four.

Then came George Twilley and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that the foregoing instrument of writing is the true and whole last will and testament of Elizabeth Ansley, late of Somerset County, deceased, that hath came to his hand or possession and that he doth and know of any other
Somerset County, To wit. July 20th day 1824. Then came Maria Twilley one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last will and testament of Elizabeth Annsley, late of Somerset County, deceased and made oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God that she did see the testatrix therein named sign and seal this will; that she heard her publish, pronoun and declare the same to be her last will and testament, that at the time of her so doing she was to the best of their apprehension of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding capable of ? a valid contract, that she subscribed this will as a witness thereto in the presence and at the request of the testatrix and in the presence of the other subscribing witness. She further deposed that she saw William Twilley subscribe the same as a witness in the presence and at the request of the testatrix.
