In the name of God, Amen, this 31st day if March in the year ofour God One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy nine, I , Isaac Messick of the county of Sussex in Delaware state. Planter, being sick and weak of body but of perfect mind and memory and therefore being given unto God, and calling to mind the immortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my last will and testement.

Principally and first of allI rcommend my sould unto the hand of God that gave it to me, and my body to be buried in a christain like manner and at the discretion of my executrix here mentioned, nothing doubting but to receive the same again, by the mightly power of God; and as ____ with worldly goods wherewith it has pleased God to help me within this life I give _____ and dispose of the same in manner and form.First, I constitute appoint and ordain my well beloved son Covington Messick, my sole executor of this my Last Will and testament, whom I give and beqeathalso all my Plantation and Lands belonging to him and his heirs forever.

Secondly, I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife, Ann Messick, the thirdpart of all goods and chattleslands and tenements during her widowhood but when she marrieds disanulled of all grants of chattles rights and credits lands and tenements as aforesaid if she should, or when she die to be leftin the following manner,

Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my well loved son, John Messick one hundred and four acres of land where he now lives known by the name of New Intent and to him and his heirs forever, one shilling of silver and no more.

Fourthly, I give and bequeath unto my son Luke Messick one shilling sterling and no more. Also I give and bequeath to my beloved son George Messick, one shilling sterling and no more. Also I bequeath to my well beloved son Nehemiah Messick one shilling sterling and no more. Also I give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Ann Owens on shilling and no more. I also Constance Dolbee one shilling sterling and no more, I also give and bequeath th my beloved daughter Priscilla Mooney one shilling sterling and no more. Also lastly after all my debts are paid and funeral charges are defrayed my will is that Covington Messick, Joesph Messick and Isaac Messick and Bethany Messick should have my personal estate to be equally devided moungst the four, only Bethany one two year old heffer more than the other three; at their mother's death, ratifying ad confirming this and no other to be my Last will and testament entirely revoking and disanulling all former wills, legacies or bequests before named then and their heirs forever, by me signed sealed pronounced by Isaac Messick as his last will and testament in presence of us subscribers the day and year of afo.
